For many years, the name Waverly was synonymous with quality bedding at affordable prices. Waverly bedding was a name that everyone knew and sought out. However, you may have noticed that Waverly products have become much more difficult to find, leaving you with the question, “What happened to Waverly?”

If you are one of the people that has had a hard time finding Waverly patterns that were once sold by hundreds of merchants, you are not alone. About a year ago, Waverly ceased manufacturing ready-made products and pared their operation down to strictly selling fabrics. The good news is that the same beautiful Waverly fabrics are still for sale and many manufacturers have begun making their own Waverly ensembles to try to fill this void.

Waverly’s Country Life Toiles were some of their top sellers, and a company called CDF has stepped up and begun manufacturing bedding ensembles in both Country Life Black and Country Life Wedgewood. CDF is also manufacturing a few other ensembles in popular Waverly fabrics such as Wailea Coast and Garden Images Parchment.

Other manufacturers are venturing into new territory and creating brand new ensembles with Waverly fabrics that are completely original. Many people in the bedding industry are aware of the popularity of Waverly bedding and are attempting to keep producing bedding lines using the beautiful fabrics that first made the Waverly name a household term. aj MOSS is planning to release a line of Waverly bedding this fall which will be manufactured by A.L. Ellis Inc.

Waverly bedding was known not only for their high quality fabrics and affordable prices, but also their unique trims and attention to detail, which is why so many people still seek out the Waverly name. However, there are some other contenders for price and quality in today’s market who deserve recognition. Croscill and Thomasville Home Furnishings are both companies that strive to create patterns with both elegance and affordability.
