Summer is now upon us, with sun filled days and warm breezy nights. For those who are looking for a simple and easy way to beautify your home for this season, lace may be the answer for you! Lace window treatments are a beautiful way to add romance and clarity to your windows.
Lace is preferred by many because of its flowing, simple nature, allowing natural light to penetrate a room while adding a modest amount of protection from the outside eye. It is also the perfect compliment to fabric draperies and wooden shutters.
Whether looking to add a delicate touch to your garden patio, or a simple addition to an existing interior scheme, there are many choices in the world of lace. Two of the most popular types of lace offered are Jacquard lace and French Macramé.
Jacquard Lace is offered in a selection of weaves: Fine-Gauge Double Jacquard lace, Double Jacquard and single Jacquard lace. These weaves are most commonly used in the manufacturing of most lace treatments and accessories. Jacquard lace is made of 100% polyester and is a beautiful and economical way to enhance any room. French macramé uses a polyester/cotton blend of fibers, making this product more durable. The weight of this fabric allows for more detail and can be washed without compromising the product’s integrity. For a richer look, one may attach a Boucle (a type of very sheer material) to the back of the macramé piece. This technique is usually classified as “custom”, so you may have to ask for a price quote.
Heritage Lace has long been our number one choice for Lace window treatments and accessories. They offer a variety of patterns and styles, from Classic to Contemporary. Sheer Divine drape shades add a modern touch to any room. A table cloth in the Vintage Rose pattern will complete your Classic dining area with a feeling of royalty, perfect for entertaining those very special guests! Of course, with these summer months upon us, mantel scarves are an easy and convenient way to dress your fireplace using the traditional look of Heirloom.
From Nottingham to Florence, Lace has been used to stimulate the eye and delight the senses for centuries. The look of lace will offer a unique and creative way to enrich to any room!
