Window Treatments

“Window treatments” is a phrase used to describe a wide variety of decorative window coverings including curtains, drapes, tiers, valances, blinds, and shades. Window treatments were first made to be functional pieces which kept out drafts in the winter, provided privacy, and kept homes cooler in the summer. While they can still be functional today, many window treatments are now made for decorative purposes. Window treatments are a fantastic way to bring together the colors and themes of a room.
Croscill was the first company to offer window treatments to match their bedding ensembles, making it a breeze to effortlessly coordinate bedroom decor. The debut of this concept came in a pattern called “Arsenic and Old Lace,” named after a popular Cary Grant movie. aj MOSS offers coordinating window treatments with most of their bedding ensembles to make decorating your bedroom a snap. Thomasville offers several lengths of draperies, as well as several options for decorative valances in each pattern. Croscill, the innovator of the matching window treatment, continues to offer matching draperies and decorative valances with their bedding ensembles as well.
For those who like coordinating window treatments, but don’t want too much of the same pattern, aj MOSS offers a stunning selection of window treatments from RLF Home. RLF is a trusted name in the curtain industry, known for their luxurious fabrics, fashionable designs, and creative embellishments. For those with a smaller budget, aj MOSS also offers a wide selection of very affordable and stylish straight valances from Victorian Heart. The classic look of lace is always in style, and aj MOSS has been a proud seller of Heritage Lace curtains for a number of years now. Heritage Lace caters to all tastes with a range of curtains that go from traditional to modern chic. Lace panels are a great way to get moderate window coverage without blocking out all of the light. Mixing sheer lace panels with embellished RLF valances is a great way to combine classic and modern pieces.
Today, you can find window treatments for every room in any style imaginable. Many companies now offer patterns in similar color schemes which can be mixed and matched to suit a variety of tastes. The key to shopping for window treatments is to have fun with it. This is an area of decorating where you can really show your personality through your choice of color, style, and fabrics. Playing with a combination of textures can give unexpectedly beautiful results, so don’t be afraid to experiment.

I am looking for Croscill Tribeca valances and drapes
June 16th, 2006 at 1:41 pm
Hi Jeff,
As a retailer of Croscill, I have access to their price book, so I checked into the Tribeca pattern for you. The only items that were currently listed for sale were the 84″ draperies. These were available in gold, ivory, espresso, and rust. Unfortunately, there were not any valances listed for sale. If you are interested in purchasing these draperies from aj MOSS, you can order them by phone. This is not an item that we keep in stock, so they would have to be ordered in multiples of 3. If you are interested, you can call the aj MOSS customer service line at 877-863-1270 and our staff will be happy to assist you.

Hi Cathi,
Unfortunately, Heritage Crewel has been discontinued for quite some time now, and I have been unsuccessful in my search for valances. Perhaps you could try looking on e-Bay?

Elizabeth

I’m trying to locate a set of 84″ drapes by Thomasville in the Melrose pattern. But, I understand that they recently went out of business. Do you have any idea where I might be able to purchase these? Thank you. Theresa

Hi Theresa,
Unfortunately we do not have any of these draperies left in stock, and Thomasville’s manufacturing facility is currently closed. I wish you luck in your search.

would like to know where I can find Wisteria croscills window valances or toppers?
January 14th, 2008 at 11:16 am
Hi Jackie,
Unfortunately Croscill has recently discontinued the Wisteria Pattern. As far as window treatments are concerned, we only have draperies at this time. However, keep checking back as we do receive returns, and then update our stock accordingly.
Thanks!
