Many people find themselves unsure when placing an internet order. Placing an order online can be easily perceived as difficult… your monitor may not reflect the true color of the products as each monitor is set differently. Then you find yourself asking questions such as: Will I like the items when they arrive? What will happen if I don’t? How long will I have to decide if I like it or not? How do I educate myself about the products and the company I am ordering from before I place my order?

      First of all, before actually placing an order, read all you can on the merchant’s website. Look for the company’s shipping policies and return policies, look for hidden costs like taxes, read through the frequently asked questions and find out how the merchant charges you. This way, when you agree to the terms and conditions of an order you understand what you’re agreeing to.

      We have found the following to be the best advice we can offer our customers and potential customers of ajMOSS; to qualify for any ongoing sale price, place your order. Since most items take a few weeks to deliver, you have time to request a swatch of the fabric. Many online businesses must charge a restocking fee for returned items. This is because the vendors the merchant deals with charge them for returning any items to them. It is not uncommon for this fee to be upwards of 30%. Due to the great savings and  bonuses like free shipping, merchants cannot absorb the restocking fee. Once you receive your swatch you can determine whether or not the product will work with your décor. If it does, great! If not, you will be able to cancel your order without a restocking fee. This means you will be refunded IN FULL for whatever you need to cancel. As long as the items haven’t shipped yet, there typically will not  be any penalties. Of course this varies from merchant to merchant, but this is what we’ve found to be true here at ajMOSS.

Other things to keep in mind… when your items arrive at your home, inspect them thoroughly. If you find a defect in any of your items report it immediately to the merchant. If you wait too long there may be nothing customer service can do for you. Hold on to your original packaging for a little while. If you decide to return your products within the stated period (i.e. ajMOSS gives you 30 days) many merchants require you to return your products in the original packaging.
